01 Learning this at the same time as switch heelflips will benefit both tricks. Nollie ones are slightly harder. Start with your front foot in the centre of the nose and your back foot somewhere between the middle of the deck and the back truck bolts. You might want to hang your toes over the edge of your board too.




02 Crouch for the pop, but try and keep your weight distributed evenly. You won't need to crouch mega low for these first ones, but when you want them bigger bear in mind the 'more crouch = more pop' rule.




03 As with nollie kickflips, when you hit down the nose to the ground, push down and forward, as pushing straight down will usually just eject you from the board. Pushing down and forward on the nose also helps your nollie go further.

 




04 As you pop the nose, roll your back foot off the toe edge of the board. This will feel strange at first, so you need to work on making the back foot as powerful and quick at flipping as the front foot. Don't worry if it doesn't go all the way around the first few times. This might feel like more of a 'down' flick rather the 'horizontal' flick of the normal flip.

 




05 When these do start popping off the ground and flipping, again - watch out for the primo landing if you've not put quite enough power in the flip. One of the main aims is to stay over the board, and try not land more over the nose.




06 Aim for the truckbolts as landing targets. Riding away will come naturally if you can get your foot position right. One last thing - watch out for catching these when not fully rotated, it can tweak your ankle if it coms to your feet at the wrong angle. Put more power in the flip to be safe!
