01 This trick is basically a kickflip, but
with the added twist of your body turning 180 over the top of it. Start
with your feet in the same position as they would be for a kickflip. Your
back foot should be in the center of the tail so it doesn't influence
the turning of the board.

 |

02 As you start the ollie for the flip, start
to turn your body frontside (so your chest faces outwards). At the very
beginning of the flip your body should be facing forward. If you coiled
up slightly you do for a
normal 180 this will help with rotation, although the the rotation
of the 180 should be delayed until slightly after the flipping motion
with your front foot.

 |

03 As your body starts to turn more, your
feet should be off the board at the point of the kickflip where it's flipping
under your feet. The 180 rotation needs to move a bit quicker than usual
for this.

04 As you begin to learn these you'll try
to automatically catch them while you are in an odd position (mid 180)
which can be a pain. A good way is to let them flip without catching them
to practice getting round the full 180 first.

 |

05 As you begin to catch or land on them it
will be difficult as it's the same as landing it switch. Usually the foot
that lands on the front of the board will catch them first, as the back
one will be returning from flipping it so won't be in position as quick.
You can start by just catching them with one foot to get the feel of them.

 |

06 Learn to balance as you land them as it's
not your usual way to ride so it will be tricky. Also be prepared to adjust
your direction as this flip can be difficult to land straight at first.
Practice the very slight delay between the flip and the 180 motion as
this is the key.
