HARDFLIP.
BACK TO TIPS MENU

01 This is a combination of a frontside pop shove it and a kickflip.
Start with your back foot more over toward the heel edge of your tail. This will help you scoop the board. Your front foot should be positioned similar to a kickflip.

02 As you pop your ollie, scoop frontside with your back foot, and perform a kickflip motion with your front foot. Be careful not to pop too hard, as the board could hit you in
a nasty place.

03 As your board flips it will rise almost vertical between your legs, so you need to give plenty of room.

04 As the tail of your board now comes up to you, try and meet it with your front foot. Your back foot should work automatically in a similar way to a kickflip, but you'll have to make a special effort to get your front foot back on as it goes further out than a normal flip.

05 As these pop quite hight by nature landing might be more tricky. Hardflips are not a trick you can just land on, so work hard on getting them down to the floor smoothly.

06 Bend your needs as you land as usual, and be aware that you might need to correct your direction. This is a great technical trick to have so keep practicing!
