01 For this you need to be comfortable with
fakie kickflips and fakie 180s (half cabs). Start by riding fakie with
your feet in a kickflip position. Have your back foot slightly more over
the toe edge.
|
 |

02 Like a standard half cab - coil the opposite
way than you want to 180 flip round as you crouch. This should be done
with your upper body, and try to stay over your board.
|
 |

03 As you pop and your body rises, let your
upper body uncoil. As you're popping your tail your torso should be facing
the way that you are riding which will help your legs to follow your upper
body and actually get around 180 degrees.

 |
| |

04 As you're rotating keep your eyes on the
board. If you've not popped high enough, chances are your board will hit
the ground before you've rotated a full 180 or flipped the board fully.
|
 |

05 On flatground, your board will come back
to your feet after the flip about the same time as you complete your 180.
Be sure to give it enough room to flip before stomping down on it.As you
come to the point of putting the front (although it's now the back) of
your board down first, be careful not to lean over in that direction or
your weight distribution being uneven will cause your board to shoot out
from under you.
|
 |

06 As you catch the board and land, you'll
be riding normal stance which makes it a bit easier. Don't worry if you
don't get the full 180 right away, that will come with more power in your
rotation and more coil. As always, aim for the truck bolts as it's easy
to land with your back foot right on the tail with this trick. Good luck!
