Older Hooked news click here		22.11.11 DVD AVAILABLE	Yo, Gimme Dat, The Hooked video is available to buy from Rollersnakes as of this week. Go and pick one up for a 30 minute does of Derby skating with lots of other UK spots, Derby skaters and epic friends. The Derby skatepark has an epic section too. 		HOOKED VIDEO PREMIER	The first full length Hooked video is dropping on the 19th of November, and we're super excited. The full length Hooked video will represent much of the Derby scene, featuring the Hooked team Jacob Bettinson, Callum Moore, Josh Nicholson, Ryan Kearney, Dave Ford plus every other friend of Hooked and Derby skater. 		10.08.11 SKATE LESSONS	We've got a host of skate lessons coming up, at various skateparks and locations around Derbyshire. If it's something you feel would be good for your kids / youth group / school - drop us an email and get registered. Sessions will be various lengths from 1 hour to 3 hours and there is tuition available to suit beginners to intermediate skateboarders. Email Becca for more information: becca@hookedextreme.com
		19.07.11 OPENING JAM	On Saturday the 6th of August, there will be an official opening jam at Derby Skatepark. Bass Recreation Ground, Derby (Opposite Cockpit Island car Park) There will be skate and BMX demos and competitions through the day with tonnes of prizes and goodies.Get down for competitions, prizes, demos, signings, music and loads of other stuff. + Free Goody bags! It's going to be epic!
		01.06.11 DERBY SKATEPARK	It's finally here, Derby Skatepark is now ridable and open to the public. Thanks to everyone who has supported Hooked and the project since the very early research and persuasion of the Council, in 2007. Get down there and enjoy it - it's going to be a Summer to remember. 		18.04.11 LOTS HAPPENING	Summer is finally well on it's way, and we've got tonnes planned. For a start, the new Derby skatepark will be built, and there are some big opening jams and competitons line up. Hooked will be running Ramp Thrash Saturdays from there introducing new skateboarders to the park too. Get in touch if you want to be notified and popped on the list. Also, we're looking expand the team. Keep your eyes peeled.
		13.03.11 DVD IN PROGRESS	You may have seen the trailer already of the Hooked video comimg this Autumn, 'Yo, Gimme Dat'. The Hooked team will have full sections which they are working hard for, but also the whole of the Derby scene will have lots of footage on there and be featured in sections. Some people will have lots of tricks on it, some people will have a few but we hope we can get everyone on it. It will be available on DVD with loads of extras and treats. 		18.12.10 SKATEPARK GRANTED	Finally the Derby Skatepark project has passed the last hurdle to ensure build will definitely happen. The project has been signed off by the Councillors in the planning meeting, and build is set to start in the New Year. There will be an epic opening jam, along with Hooked tuition sessions, comps and skate edits coming this Spring and Summer from the new Derby Skatepark. Thanks for all your support! 		12.12.10 IT'S CHRISTMAS	It's Christmas, so we've dropped a special 6 Tricks on the Sabbath episode featuring a few members of the team dropping a line of 6. We hid from the snow and cold in a lit carpark to grab this. Check the feature on our blog here, or our 6 Tricks archive here. Can't wait until the new skatepark is built so we can session some new Derby concrete!
		09.11.10 VOTE YES TO DERBY SKATEPARK	Fill in this form to show your support! Now the important bit. Our park is designed and ready for someone to press go. We just need planning permission, and for that we need as much support as possible. If you want this park to happen, simply fill in this form on the Derby City Council website to show support. The more support, the better to oppose any objections. It's an absolute must if you want to have this park. To see all the info on planning about this project, click here to go to the council page. 		10.10.10 DERBY PARK	Thanks to all who came down to consultation for the new Derby skatepark. We've fed in all the feedback and been through it with a fine tooth comb. There will be a new design based upon all the feedback, which will only need minor tweaks. It's going to be amazing, we know that much. 		25.08.10 TELL IT LIKE IT IS	The skatepark is coming. There are 2 consultation events happening where you can tell us all what you think the new Derby skatepark should be like, and even see some visuals and ideas. Saturday 11th September at QUAD from 9am until 2pm, and Wednesday 15th September from 5pm until 8pm at Rollersnakes. Get down and have your say.
		26.07.10 JAM COMING	On Saturday 7th August we're holding a jam at Ripley skatepark with competitions for best tricks on certain obstacles, giant game of skate and loads of other comps. We're even getting some big guns in to show us how it's done. Get there between 10 and 4 for the action. Click here for more details.
		21.06.10 ROLL THIS TIME	It's that time again, and this time it won't rain. It's going to be super hot, so come and skate with us. There will be jamming all day and a competition. 		23.05.10 S.K.A.T.E	Soon, we're going to be kicking off a big game of skate, bigger than before. To make sure you're involved, register your interest by emailing us and telling us at team@hookedextreme.com. So if you're interested in winning a prize or being hailed as King of SKATE, email us. There will be no pros in the tournament but you still might be up against someone you didn't want to.
		19.04.10 ROLL AGAIN	We're coming back to our friends in Chaddesten, for the last of Last Summer's Roll With Us Sessions. On Saturday May the 8th, we'll be at Roe Farm Community Centre MUGA with our ramps, boards, prizes and team. It will be an ace day. get down and shred the fresh ramps, get on the edit and maybe win a prize. Click for a map of where we'll be.
		19.03.10 CONSISTENCY WINS	The mother of all prize packs has landed, and will go to the person with the most consecutive flips on film by 30th of June. 		23.02.10 T-SHIRTS FOR SPRING	Spring is coming and us skaters love it. To celebrate we're dropping some new t-shirts prints into our shop, and they are available right now. 'Chest Heart' and 'Dribble ribs' are two of the prints available now, with one more coming shortly. We unveiled the designs on our blog a while ago, but now they are available so get them while they're hot.
		9.01.110 NEW YEAR FLIPS	Happy New Year. 2010 is going to be full to the brim of skate jams, comps, gatherings and lurkings. The first one to prepare for is the Hooked Kickflip Challenge. You are going to be able to get your hands on epic amounts of prizes for the most consecutive flips. Practice now, we'll keep you posed when you can send your footage!
		14.12.09 NEW REPRESENTATIVES	Warm welcome for new representatives Callum Moore and Josh Nicholson, joining Chris Gair and Miles Clark-Wallace. Lookout for them lurking at Derby spots and fliming features for hookedskate.com. Check out their intro video and info on the team page here.
		28.11.09 NEW REPRESENTATIVES	We've noticed the Derby talent over the last few months, and there's a lot out there in those city streets and parks. We want to Hook up as many people as we can, and the team is expanding with two new riders to accompany the present lurkers Miles Clark-Wallace and Chris Gair. Keep your eyes peeled for them.
		19.10.09 THE FINAL ROLL	Get down to Roe Farm Community Centre MUGA in Cheddesten in Derby on Saturday the 24th October between 10am and 5pm for a skate jam, a competition and lurk, it's the last one for this Summer so let's see it off with a bang. See photos and edits of the previous sessions on our blog... think of something so put down on our grind box / quarter / friveway / manny pad etc... who knows what the competition might be!
		22.09.09 IT'S A LOCK-IN	On September 29th 2009 Hooked will be riding the Westfield Centre Derby. Westfield Derby have invited Hooked, along with a few skaters, to skate at the Student Lock-in night between 7 - 11pm. We'll be hosting a game of SKATE where 8 participants will battle it out to win £100 in 2Seasons vouchers. There will be prizes for second place too. Participants include George Worthington, Tom Ball, Craig Smedley, Chris Gair, Dave Ford, Josh Price, Jacob Bettinson and Fraser Doughty.Check all the battles here, and report here.
		21.08.09 SET IN STONE	Well it's finally happening.Derby is getting a city skatepark. Hooked have been attending meetings with the Council for 18 months getting this kicked off, and we're finally at a point where we're filling in a stage 2 bidding form. This week's meeting saw skatestore giants Rollersnakes come on board as support, and fingers crossed with all the support and participation form you, our bid will be accepted. 		14.06.09 ROLL WITH US	The Summer events have been announced. We'll be holding 8 events in Chaddesten over the Summer under the event theme Roll With Us. As always we want to see our favourite Derby talent down with us a killing it. Click here for the dates!
		02.06.09 C-TOWN INSPECTION	Well as you might know by now the new park in Chesterfield is open and functioning like a dream. It's a really interesting design, great location (free from scallies and lurkers) and 5 minutes from the Town Centre. We paid it a 2 day visit, with the Hooked team players Chris Gair, Miles Clark-Wallace and friends, and a special guest appearance from Craig Smedley who killed it. 		20.04.09 EVENTS COMING SOON	Summer is almost here, so we're going to be holding skate jams all around the city. We're going to sort some all dayers, evening sessions and comps through the summer so if you get bored of the streets you can put your stuff down on the ramps for prizes. The Hooked team will be repping + some of our slick friends with their super moves will be there. Hopefully see you there, more info on dates soon.

		17.11.08 HOOKED AT AWARDS	Wow what a weekend. Read the full story here on how Hooked came runner up in the Derbyshire Sports Awards 2008. In short, we drank ans ate with Olympic Atheletes, watched a video they had cut together of the skating sessions in front of about 500 people. We collected the runner up award thanks to all of you who have supported and helped Hooked... pics here. Cheers!
